      you do not have one,
      then sign up.

      the files/folders you wish to backup.

      backup or schedule it as required.

Application Package

Step 1: Identify the correct IDrive App package for your model.
  1. Login to your Qnap NAS.
  2. Go to the App Center > Backup/Sync.
  3. Click the IDrive package Icon. A popup window for IDrive package appears.
  4. Click the 'download' link. It will download the App center's package of IDrive App for your QNAP model.

Step 2: Once the correct IDrive App package is identified, download the latest package of the same architecture from below:

View the Installation Steps

Step 1
Enable Web services and File station on your NAS device prior to the QNAP Backup App installation.
To enable web services,
  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Applications > Web Server.
  2. Select the Enable Web Server check box.
  3. Click Apply All to save the changes.
To enable File station,
  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Applications > Station Manager > File Station.
  2. Select the Enable File Station check box.
  3. Click Apply to save the changes.

Step 2
The IDrive App is packaged as a QPKG zip file. Separate installers are present for ARM, Intel 32-bit and Intel 64-bit QNAP devices.
  1. Log in to your QNAP NAS device as 'admin'.
  2. Download the QPKG zip file compatible for your QNAP device.
  3. Unzip the QPKG zip file to obtain the IDrive App QPKG file.
  4. Navigate to App Center, and click Install Manually.
  5. Click Browse and select the IDrive QPKG file.
  6. Click Install. After installation, the IDrive App will be listed in App Center under the My Apps tab.
  7. To start the application, click Open under the IDrive icon.
